The 6:3 Exchange is a monthly financial opportunity to provide Health, Love, Prosperity and Education (HOPE) to an orphaned or abandoned child living with HIV/AIDS at Akaloosa Village. Along with healthy bodies, Jesus centered lives and educated minds, our dream at Cherish Uganda is to cultivate generous hearts, prosperous thinking and entrepreneurial spirits in the lives of our children. To make this dream a reality, Cherish Uganda is redefining the sponsorship story based on Jesus words, ‘when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing’ in Matthew 6:3. In this exchange, a child will never know that they have a ‘sponsor’.

The confidentiality of the 6:3 Exchange safeguards a child’s personal sense of participation and belonging in a unified Ugandan family, where dreams are written by the God given potential within a child, instead of being defined by what is handed to them. Our team in Uganda will update the developments, memorable moments and prayer requests of children on the child’s family Facebook page, so that giving is meaningful and informed.

In a world that is progressing more rapidly today than ever before, Hope Academy is ensuring that it's students are equipped and prepared to live ahead of the curve. Exposure to a rich source of reading, computers and web based learning at an impressionable age will develop strong intuitive skills to launch them ahead of the curve in an ever changing world. (We have linked in a TED talk which demonstrates the phenomenal ability of children to respond to technology, have a look!)

The home is the heartbeat of Akaloosa Village. Right now, children are waiting for hope and in need of a family. Your gift will create a place where the lives of 1 mother and 8 children living with HIV/ AIDS can create a new family. A Positive Home is built with the future in mind. Simple technologies are combined in the design to provide sustainable shelter, water, energy and waste facilities which will enable the home to remain a source of HOPE without requiring ongoing funding. Building a Positive Home includes fully equipping the home so that all that remains is the welcoming of a new family!

There once was a mother who realized she would not live to parent her son or daughter. She knew she had given her child the same disease she would die from.....but what she didn't know, is that the story would not end like her own. With hearts to parent children who are not their own, resilient widows and God-appointed women are standing in the place of Mothers and are creating a new story full of hope for children they now call 'their own'. In order to ensure a Cherish Mother is well cared for and cherished, we encourage you to be creative and rally behind her as she nurtures the lives of 8 children living with HIV/AIDS.
