At Cherish Uganda we believe that health is essential to hope. For children living with HIV/AIDS today, there is great hope. In Uganda, Antiretroviral Therapy is available and free for children. Most children living with the virus have been infected at birth when an HIV positive mothers has not protect her baby through prevention of mother to child transmission. Some children are born with a negative HIV status, but at a vulnerable age, they are subjected to sexual abuse and are infected in that way.

Cherish Uganda provides a hollistic approach to health, with attention given to the body, soul and spirit of each child. Due to the social crisis most of our children emerge from, there is great need to support, comfort and rebuild the inner child alongside their physical rehabilitation and ongoing healthcare.
