Cherish Uganda is a faith-based response to the most vulnerable, orphaned and abandoned children living with the HIV virus. Our response is built on The HOPE Principles of Healthcare, Love, Prosperity and Education for the children who fall or are pushed below the scope of most childcare services offered to OVC's in Uganda due to their HIV positive status and the stigma and discrimination associated with the disease.

To redeem this story of hopelessness, Cherish Uganda is demonstrating The HOPE Principles for the most desperate of children living with HIV at Akaloosa Village and is transforming lives and erasing stigma as hope emerges in their lives.

In order to create sustainable HOPE at the grassroots of communities, partnerships and community based interventions are needed. At the centre of our work is the HIV positive child and the ripples of our work are strategically intended to develop HOPE for children in communities where the highest prevalence of HIV and the greatest poverty co-exist.
