Meet Trevor - UK Board Member

We’d like to introduce you to a very wise leader, friend of those at Cherish, and now board member - Trevor Harrington! Trevor Harrington is a new addition to Cherish Uganda’s global board, joining us in 2020. Trevor has been a part of the Cherish story since day zero and now he’s helping Cherish evolve and connect with its donors, specifically in the UK.

Get to know Trevor a bit more with this background we had him write up for the Cherish Family!

“Hi my name is Trevor Harrington

I have been in full time church leadership together with my wife Susie since 2001 having previously worked as an IT manager in the banking business alongside various voluntary leadership roles in church, particular with youth and children.

I am blessed to be Dad to a son and a daughter and Papa to (so far) three grand-sons.

I count it a real privilege to be a trustee of Cherish a Child UK and have been a supporter of Cherish since first walking on the site where Cherish now stands before it was purchased. At that time, I could not have envisioned all that it has become.

Even since my last visit in 2016, so much has changed but one thing remains from that trip is the scar on my forehead after accidentally connecting with a chicken shed roof - I was so thankful for the team in the Cherish Health Centre who stitched up the gash and cared for me so professionally.

My prayer for all whose lives have been touched and changed through Cherish is based upon John 10:10, my life scripture, that they would know life in all of its fulness, full and overflowing.”
